ace Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Hi, Anyone recommend hotel or bungalow in Lamai, near (max 500m) the action but not right in it? Looking at 800-1200 baht in lo season. I've heard Bill resort is OK, is it? Last times I've been there I stayed in Best resort (rubbish) and Galaxy (expensive), but that was a while ago. Cheers
spacebass Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Lamai Inn 99 search google for details, about 250 yds to main drag few lady bars on the way! on beach big selection of accommodation . Malice in Wonderland Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Lamai Wanta all the way...I have got customers that have stayed in the Aloha,Weekender and Marina villas but now use Lamai Wanta everytime they come back...
scramjet Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Avoid the Chillout Bungalows on Lamai beach at all costs, worse place I've ever stayed in, worst time I've ever had in my life. I was threatened by the Aussie owner, as was a Canadian mate of mine, if you knew what I knew about the place and the Australian guy who runs it you definitely wouldn't want to stay there. Please avoid this place and have a happy life......
Templer Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Marina Villas or the Marina bungalows next door, a bit further out . But I have to agree Lamai Wanta is a lot more modern with friendly staff, and a bit more central,
