Thought I saw the police getting stuck into the red shirts just now on Thai TV, but it was old footage of them trashing the yellow shirts.

Given that they have been rather reluctant to deal to the red shirts in the same way, are they in fact in toxins pocket?

No they'll run away from anyone given the chance, remember the airport fiasco.
