Hello everyone, I live in Hua Hin and I've been trying for some time now to locate a decent lumber yard in my area. I'm looking for non-green hardwoods, or lumber that won't distort like I've seen already as it dries. I'm trying to build stave-style drums. So far, the only wood in my area that's available is Mai Yang Na. This stuff is beautiful, but unfortunately, it's as green as Ireland. One tiny cut and it's swarmed with tiny yellow bees... and then 2 days later lots of cracks and warping.

Specifically, I'm looking for a source in the near south that sells Mai Pradoo or Mai Makaa. If not, just the name/number of lumber yards in Bangkok would be very, very helpful.

Thanks!

Michael
