Ceiling Cassette Aircons - Inverters Available?

I purchased a house outside Pattaya last month. I am now in the planning stages of upgrading aircon units to those with greater capacity and better energy efficiency.

In my living room is a standard ceiling cassette aircon which is about 50% undersized.

For a variety of reasons (including very long copper pipe run, long draining run, and existing hole in ceiling!), I want to stay with a cassette unit.

I know that cassette inverter units are made by: LG, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Carrier Xpower; Toshiba, Daikin ... etc.

HOWEVER: Aircon suppliers in Thailand are telling me that NONE of the inverter equipped cassette aircon units are AVAILABLE in Thailand.

My question here -- do any of you have any first-hand knowledge of cassette inverter availability in Thailand? If so, WHERE?

Thanks

Same here. I got the Daiken 30K BTU cassette inverter, also bought

from ARC on Sukhumvit. (it uses R410A)

VERY happy with the unit ! It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny.

ARC

389/114 Moo 6

Sukhumvit Road

Phone 038 71 68 67

I am not associated with ARC in any way, just a happy customer.

FYI, I have a Mitsu Regular Cassette Type in my bedroom (28K BTU).

Also a nice unit, but the Daiken is a but more quiet.

Paid 82K Baht for the Mitsu, 86K baht for the Daiken.

Cheers,

rudi
