Other Options Than Public Taxi And Touts (limo?)

Featured Replies

Ok I may be paranoid but my wife is going to travel to Bangkok alone and since she is unfamiliar with Bangkok I am not keen on her taking a public taxi because she wouldnt even know if the driver drove off in a completely different direction.

I know usually public taxis are safe and I would never hesitate myself, but now she is alone and I am a bit paranoid and just dont want to take any risks. So what other options are there?

She is going to Amari Boulevard at upper Sukhumwit. Seem to recall there is a limo service, how much is that? Any other suggestions (we dont have any friends there who could pick her up unfortunately)..?

TAT has 7 seater vans for 1800 anywhere in bangkok, they have as well limo service - as I believe 1k baht

I do know that at Mochit skytrain station they have these white vans. They will take you i8n different places in thailand for I believe 50-75 baht.

Thanks for the tips so far. She will be flying in to Suvarnabhumi Airport so that is where she needs to find some sort of transport.

1800 is the same price as the domestic flight, sounds a bit steep for a trip within Bangkok. 1000 might be worth it for peace of mind.

The airport limo service has nice cars and will take her to her hotel for 800 baht. Trip is registered and recorded.

Just go to one of the many AOT booths in the arrival hall and hire a car, Clean new car, good drivers, They start out a 1100 thb and up.
