What I think is irreverent actually I was basing my latest opinion on a couple of posts in this thread that mentioned the guy across the street or down the hall or something like that.

It would be nice and orderly to say that men are the same as women. But for the purposes of sexual security they aren’t.

I have seen the rituals that go on in singles bars but frankly I am more familiar with the rituals that go on between business people both men and women in hotels while traveling. A lot of women travel now on business and find themselves alone in a big city the same as men do. The same can be said for airline personnel on layovers except without the booze.

I think you make a couple of salient points.

You seem to think profound romantic love exists outside of novels and soap operas. God love you but that is a belief held by very few people if you look at the world as a whole. Take a look at India and China and tell me about romantic love.

I realize it is difficult to judge people with a small amount of information if one is into judging people. I was trying to think of any bright young men who got dumb when they got old. I don't mean senility. Something like a 30 year old person who gets really stupid when they reach 50. I can't think of any.

I think it is fair to say that if you are intelligent when young that as you age experience will add to your education and make you a wiser person.
