Took some similar photos from the roof of my condo building, we're quite near the Chong Nonsi BTS.

Was away for business Monday and Tuesday, arrived back at the airport this morning (flight wasn't as empty as I expected... although I guess a lot of people maybe were travelling on to different parts of Thailand after arriving in BKK), driving up towards where I live (round 8am) could see the massive black cloud covering the skyline around the Silom area.

Was on my way to Esplanade Khae Lai Nonthaburi, when we noticed road blocks and as we were driving into the Car park at Tesco's Tiwanon, we noticed the smoke, Reds set light to tyres outside Shin Corp Rattantibeth.

Scanned all the live updates, but very very curious for any news about Platinum Fashion Mall in Pratunam area.. Last photo I seen was this afternoon with tyres and gastanks and last news update was a footnote about the fire at CTW about seeing smoke from Platinum.

My wife has a shop over there..

We've just had a brief power outage in the Chokchai 4 area. I'm east of Thanon Chokchai 4 and we lost power for about 10 seconds. My friend who lives just west of Thanon Chokchai 4 said they never lost power. It might just be a coincidence given the reliability of power lines and transformers in Thailand.

There is also a slight smell of something burning in the air. I don't know if this is from the larger fires further away being carried on the wind or if something closer is on fire.

Anyone else in the Chok Chai 4/mid-Ladprao area have any updates?

Second power outage in Chokchai 4 area followed by a boom in the distance which I'm assuming was a transformer.

Just had our 3rd and 4th outages in Chokchai 4. Can't be coincidence.

Is that the bank fire I read about in the distance..? Think it's the Chidlom area but might be wrong...
