SUGGESTION.

Can you change all number formats from #########0 to # ### ### ##0 or #.###.###.##0

SUGGESTION:

Please go back to the old page icon.

What icon are you referring to?

I still see the old one.

Agreed about the numebr formats by the way, was posted a while back also. Might have been on a different thread though thinking about it...

Clear your cache.

The other post about the formats was also me on the first day with new design.

Cache cleared, old one still visible. It's pretty difficult to update the favicon for a site in Firefox though, you have to dig quite deep I find.

Yup, me too, still visible.

Don't know if this was mentioned already:

I posted a message in Visas and Migration to other countries:

Foreigners Who Want To Marriage In Uk Must Speak English - Thailand Forum - Page 2

When I clicked on NEW CONTENT later.......... a few times, it didn't show that this message was posted. It only appeared after some 10 minutes, after posting.

Nothing alarming of course but is this "problem" known ?

ISSUE: links in TV "best of the day" email and The Nation problem

When clicking on a link I am now taken to the forum main page, not to the thread in which I am interested.

Good luck on this

Hi, thanks, we are aware of this issue and its getting worked

ISSUE:

If I post something and then see that I have made a typo or something and want to go in and edit the post, then nothing happens the first time I click edit. But it does when I click the second time. IE 7

Cache cleared multiple times, still no border between pinned topics and regular topics. Why don't you try a different colored background?

The "Remember Me" function doesn't seem to work. Have to log on multiple times per day.

Many threads still can't get past the first page.

Still have that wasted chatty space to the right of the screen, using up about 30% of screen space for no good purpose.

i'm aware this upgrade is a long process, and I do like the new look, but how about creating a link to known bugs (undocumented features) so we can get an idea of when some things will be fixed or what features are turned off during the upgrade and avoid multiple posts for the same subject.

For me I really miss the RSS feeds, and no I do not want to join Twitter just for the TV forums

RSS feeds will be fixed during the day. For all other bugs, we are waiting for an software upgrade scheduled for next week.

Thanks for your patience, we read all your posts and all issues are filed.

Cheers :)

Now you had all this feedback, you can see that there are a large numbers of issues that need to be resolved.

May I humbly suggest that you restore to the previous system, fix all the problems and then reinstall.

If this high rate of errors occurred in an upgrade to system in a business I was running I wouldn't hesitate to make the 'hard' decision.

The high number of software glitches will undoubtedly have an adverse effects on the business and customer relations.

Go back to square one and start again. You gain a lot of respect if you do.

Mobi, the version we used is no longer supported by the vendor, no future security upgrades are available. Old system was unstable, a reversal is not an option. With this new platform we can grow this community. In the former system we had severe limitations.

Give it some time and you will get comfortable with it, I promise.

Cheers and thanks for your patience :)

Seems much better now actually: on the first couple of days it was quite flaky but it's improving all the time. The look is much, much better than the old version also. Hope the last few kinks can be ironed out suuccessfully. :)

Now that's what I call good customer relations.

Fair enough George,I can see that you had no other option other than go live.

It's not a disaster by any means and personally I am getting by quite well.

I just thought that it would take the strain off your programmers if they could fix everything in a offline environment.

But clearly this is not possible.

Good luck.

But clearly this is not possible.

We do have offline environments to develop on, and had been doing so for a long time before the launch last Sunday. But the small group of people (admins and mods) that can be used to test those offline versions only find so many bugs, it's very difficult to launch a site to nearly 100,000 members without them finding a lot more bugs and issues that they would like to see changed.

We are getting closer and closer though :)

PS: just increased the font-size of the news ticker for those who complained about it being to hard to see.

PPS: made forum names bold on forum frontpage so they stand out more from the descriptions

Look much better. Another good improvement would be if hovering the mouse over it paused it.

Perhaps a kindly moderator could put this post in the correct forum as I had to access the forum through the homepage. Seems to be an issue here:

Where do I go to set the function to open in a new window if I click on a link in a post ?

I can't remember how it worked in the old version...?

Issue.

1) Can not access own profile

2) Forum refresh slower than a scotsman paying for anything

3) How can you sign out

4) Multiple posts of the same

5) Generally frustrating

Suggestion.

Revert to original format until the developer gets it sorted or else give him a bonus for selling you a "pig in a poke".

1.profile answered above

2.my forum refresh works ok but perhaps it has something to do with the migration so perhaps a bit patience is necessary until its done

3. sign out link shown in attached

post-4641-093306600 1275904396_thumb.jpg

4. multiple posts probably had something to do with the upgrade unless its still happening to you

5. upgrade is not finished yet, please bear with it.

PLLLLEEEEEZZZZEE REVERT BACK TO ORIGINAL FORMAT !!!! this site is a nightmare now !!

I'm not sure if this problem has being aired before.

I cannot stay signed in after changing from one topic to another.

I like this format tho, Much much better than the old one.

Edit to include.

Isn't it about time we had a smiley update? lol

This is a known issue, links are supposed to open in a new window but they don't right now.

We hope to be able to fix it during the software update next week.

I like the new set up , however I can't seem to find my old personal assistant section. unsure.gif

Along with this, sometimes pages load so slowly a stampede of snails would pass me by whilst I wait for the page to load.jap.gif

My system is clean, no glitches , bugs virus infections.crazy.gif

So being a rather old sort (64) is it my understanding, or misunderstanding of modern technology that is somewhat lacking, or is it the case certain features have been removed from Thai Visa.?crying.gif

Any help, advice, comments are indeed most welcome. welcomeani.gif

I was directed to this particular thread by a helpful mod as it seems the old assistance thread is not working.
