Who To Use For Sat Installation

Featured Replies

Dstv has gone, multichoice is no more. I need to change my existing dish either to pick up Astra and/or have a movable dish installed to not only subscribe/pick-up Astra but also to pick up anything else. Jsat have advised that no movable dishes are available which seems odd given that my friend is having one installed next week and when googling many are availble else where in the world. So I am looking for recommendations from you folks as to reputable installers in BKK to whom I can transfer my business to.

I used a thai company to install Telkom. For a box and dish (maybe 1.8m, not sure) on a big pole, wiring etc it was 8600baht. The box is a nano.

The card is an extra 9000baht, it is of unknown parentage!

The guy speaks good English too. A dam_n sight cheaper than our friends at jsat.

There are lots and lots of good installers around. I'm afraid we go for the easy option and an English speaker, but then we get charged significantly higher prices. For the company that did mine, do a search for sat & thai. Like I say though, there are loads out there and don't get fleeced, the expensive company still send non speaking Thai engineers round!

You can also have 2 dishes with a device that the receiver will tell which dish to use, these are very cheap should be no more than 300 baht for the switch plus the extra dish and cable.
