Visa If Have Thai Child

Featured Replies

I had a look and could find a lot for visa if married. But not much about thai child

I have a thai son, 10 month old.

I am not married with the thai mother.

I am not retired, not working in thailand but from time to time, I plan to stay more than 30 days in Thailand.

What kind of visa should I ask for?

Is it easy to get it or worth it?

A Tourist Visa will be fine, you can stay up to 60 days on a single entry, and possibly be able to extend for a further 30 days.

How long do you plan to stay and where are you from ..?

totster :o

You should be able to receive a non immigrant type O visa to visit your child which would allow up to 90 day visits with a copy of birth certificate. But Consulate may also want other proof of your intent to visit child such as letter from mother to support the birth certificate.

I am from France and the mother and my son stay with me and travel with me when I go back to Thailand.

The visa I get at the airport is only a 30 days visa. How can i get a 60days visa?

Apply for a tourist visa at the Royal Thai Embassy consulate section or through a visa agency such as a travel agent would be my guess. That is how it is done in other countries.
