Non-immigrant Media Visa

Featured Replies

Has anyone heard of a non-immigrant media visa for freelance journalists? How does one obtain such a visa?

you need a letter frome some agency.

there is no such thing as a media non-imm for freelance journalists.

they toughened the rules, but still, if you have a paper you're regularely publishing in let them write you a letter.

upon renewal of the visa you have to supply though three sample pieces that were printed in the past year.

My regular paper said they will not give me a letter as am not an employee. Any other suggestions appreciated :o ?

Dated cuttings with you credited in the text (story by xxx) will be useful.

Why won't they give you a letter?? All it has to state is that you are a regular contributor to their publication, should be no skin off their nose to put something together.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
