Pattaya Marathon 2010 to kick off 18 July

BANGKOK (NNT) -- The annual Pattaya International Marathon is due to take place on 18 July 2010 in Chon Buri province.

Former MP for Chon Buri Sontaya Khunpleum accompanied by Chief of Athletic Association Of Thailand Police General San Sarutanon have jointly held a press conference on the launch of 2010 Pattaya International Marathon on Wednesday.

The competition consists of 5 categories, for men, women and students, and even includes a category for wheelchair racers. Up to 8,000 runners are speculated to join the marathon this year.

The winner of each category will get 200,000 THB in prize. The marathon will begin at Pattaya City Hall on 18 July 2010.
