I want to buy a mobile that can access the internet and use GPS

At the moment I just use 1 2 call prepaid for calls If I buy a phone with GPS/Internet how do I pay and about how much is it per minute

Any advice appreciated

Cheers

I think your mean GPRS, which is the system used on GSM networks to access internet.

GPS is a navigation system.

If you want to use internet on your 1 2 call simcard you will pay 1.07 Baht/minute you are online. If you want to use it a lot, you can get monthly packages which work out very cheap, e.g. 100 hours for 350 Baht or so, up to 695 Baht/month for 24/7 unlimited access.

If you do mean GPS (navigation), then you do not have to pay anything for that, as this uses free satellite signals. Only if you use GPS together with for example Google Maps. then indeed you will also have to pay internet access as Google maps downloads it's maps through the internet.

If the phone comes with navigation/map software no internet is required to navigate. HTC phones with GPS in Thailand come for example with Mapsource software/maps (from Garmin).
