Yes, as Gunny said, both of these drugs are available over the counter in Thailand, but only the wellbutrin has a locally made generic equivalent (and this, not for ther sustained release form, which is what "SR" means. The difference lies in how often the drug has to be taken, non-SR form requires 2-3 times a day dosing). Lamictal is a patented import and will be only a little less expensive than in the US, since most of the imports here come fromEurope.

If your travels take you to Cambodia you might be able to get it there for less as unlike Thailand there are no import duties on pharmaceuticals.

The above is from 2008 in the forums. Now that it is 2010: in the US Lamictal is so cheap that Sam's Club will sell it for $25 for a 3-month supply. Will I need to have it shipped to me from the states or is the price more respectable in Thailand now?

Wellbutrin XR is $42/mo for me. It is not a generic (yet) though I could take the 3x/day form that is. How is Thailand on this price now?

Anyone know of an email address to Boots or another?

THanks in advance,

The info in this post still holds, these drugs are availabkle in Tghailand only as brand name imports and thus costly.

The import is usually from Europe so will be perhaps a tad less than in the US but not by much.
