Pattaya Police investigate 7 Year Old suspected child abuse case

PATTAYA: -- On Thursday Afternoon, officers from the Police Region 2 Child and Women Protection Unit were called to Pattaya School Number 6 by the principal who was concerned for the welfare of a 7 year old student who was sporting a black-eye and according to teachers, would often arrive at school with minor facial injuries. Officers waited for the girls’ mother to arrive at the school and escorted the child and her mother, Khun Jantimar aged 28, back to their home in the Nongprue area.

Sad indeed. Sounds like this 7 year old girl is having a tough childhood. Good to see the school principal getting involved in the welfare of her students, should happen a lot more IMO. Let's hope the mother changes her ways and the appropriate authorities make follow up visits.
