Banning Burka Would Be "Rather Un-British"

Featured Replies

I think that much of the overly-PC mollycoddling of other cultures, particularly ME culture, stems from a guilt complex from the way the West has treated the ME over the past 100 years or more.

They treat each other MUCH worse. ;)

It seems to be the British have become as tolerant as an inflatable doll.

Good luck to you Blighty

Add to that the fact that our wonderful government has now openly admitted that the country cannot now afford to defend itself against all threats and you see that we're fcuked.

Cue an Argentine take over of the Falklands, Spain takes Gib whilst those spineless snivelling little cnuts in Parliament continue to fiddle their expenses. :annoyed:

Rant mode OFF!

With you 100%, well done. Somebody once said to me,

' You can take them out of the jungle, but you cannot take the jungle out of them '. Read that as you will, it is not racist, it is fact.. :)

Is that why there are no jungles in the middle east? :whistling:

I've got a PDF file that examines the whole subject of burkas and it reveals the true story behind the reasons for subjugating women in this practise.. It basically treats women as slaves with no rights at all, and with little or no medical treatment. There are varying degrees, but the worst by far are the ones enforced by the Taliban group.

In the Middle East it's not just the veil, it's the whole way of life.

When I was in Libya the locals used to drive Peugeot 405 estates (them with the whole back in the car, not just as a boot/trunk).

The driver would be the father, favorite son sitting in lap (no air-bags in those days), kids and favorite wife in the other seats, goats/sheep and other wives in the rear-most section.

In Libya my landlord had a beatiful wife. My wife commented to him on his wife's beauty one day. "Yes, I chose her" is his response. Nothing about how good she was, just that it was to his credit that she was his wife.

Subjugation of women is de rigeur in the Arab world, as the men are so inadequate.

I was in Hungry Jacks the other day, when this Muslim woman walks in wearing a brightly coloured head to toe outfit.I thought to myself, WOW…..!!

The Burkas are better at Hungry Jacks…..!!

Yeah - everybody knows he meant BurgerKing :annoyed:

NOPE, dat how it came.

Nearly altered it, but, naaaaaaah

Wendy's have burgers

and houses.

Yah, but what upsets me is they have the house that I bought. :(

Who? Wendy's?

You must've bought a big house.

They're serving bear burgers there?

(I mean burgers for bears, not made of bear) (Silly burgers)

even your wife was not supposed to make any reference to the husband. a comment like this would be appropriate and appreciated if the wives were alone without any males present.

and your comment "just that it was to his credit..." as well as "subjugation of women..." proves that you did not pick up a grain of knowledge about local culture although you seem to have spent quite some time in muslim countries.

best of course is "as the men are so inadequate"
