Bus To Pattaya

Featured Replies

Which one to choose: Public Bus (Bus Number 389) from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya or Thai Airways Bus.

We are arriving coming August 09h40 by Thai and going to Amari Pattaya.

Thanks in advance

the government bus from suvarnabhumi is fine - you can get it from the ground floor at door 8 iirc. 124THB.

I was expecting a raft of 5hit bus for that price but I was pleasantly surprised. a nice spacious modern coach with good aircon and a sensible driver (ie no lunatic speeding or over-taking).

I think it leaves every couple of hours and there's another company (bell travel iirc) right next to the government bus desk who leave on the hour between the government bus departures (so effectively there's a bus every hour). I think bell travel is slightly more expensive - about 200THB iirc but I think that includes a transfer to your hotel in pattaya too.

so is that the bus station location or a bus stop, ground floor door 8

Thank you so much ost22 for the useful information.

Same leaving time as Thai Airways bus (12pm), I was told but yet to confirm with Thai Airways.

it's a sales desk. buy a ticket from the desk then wait at the seating beside the desk approx 5 mins prior to your departure time. the staff come and call out the time and location and guide the passengers to the coach which is waiting outside the terminal.

as I said, I was pleasantly surprised. couldn't complain at all and cheap as chips.

thx for that, I usually use Bell but I don't arrive until 1800 so this option sounds promissing, pity there is no timetable I can find for pattaya bus
