Thai American 'Pim' World Famous Foodie Blogger

Featured Replies

This is kind of cool.

Apparently this is very famous blog, but new to me --

Written by Pim, who grew up in Bangkok but now based in the San Francisco Bay Area (a great area to be based for a foodie).

She recently wrote a foodie book called --

"The Foodie Handbook: The (Almost) Definitive Guide to Gastronomy"

by Pim Techamuanvivit

This is how I found out about her. Saw it at a bookstore but didn't like it enough to buy it. Her blog looks very interesting though.

She write about many kinds of food and travels globally, but of course with roots in her Thai background, which makes her more interesting to me anyway, and maybe you too.

Maybe Pim checks her links. If so, Hello Pim! Say hello to the bay area for me, I miss a lot of the food there, and looking forward to following your blog.

Samran, I am awfully sorry to have mistaken you for Jingthing who posted the original about foodie lady in San Francisco. My apology, sir.

What was this about? Did I miss something juicy?

There was a referenced post about a thai lady becoming a famous chef in usa. But the video referenced was not describing the referenced lady.

Strangely enough, those posts were missing from this thread now.

I saw her on television while I was on a trip to the Philippines (on the Asian Food Channel).  It seems she has some real clout in San Fran.

I've come across her blog before. How do we know she's famous? The Alexa rating for the site is relatively low.

Statbrain says 4,458 visits per day, which isn't too bad but I don't know if that translates to "very famous."

Either way, good on her for the effort.
