Anyone who posts Morlum must be partnered up with a beautiful Isaan lady? Just a guess. I am!! Love Morlum, especially while driving around Isaan country. Work causes me to miss months at a time so I post while I have those infrequent slivers of opportunity between jobs. It's a deluge when I do post but I love sharing good music. Music is a huge part of my life . . . always has been. Sorry to overwhelm you, talahtnut. Post away! 1

You're supposed to provide your own music, tutsi. So's you can listen to anything that turns you on while watching. Now I've done my share of drugs during the late 60's / early 70's but I never tripped like them. LOL.

I was considered to be a menace in elementary school in the 50s...about the same time as some dumbshit teacher accused me plagiarism for the first time which happened repeatedly...even in Bolivia, a spanish lit teacher who was hostile to americans had me read my composition to the class and then stood up and thundered 'who wrote that???!!! a gringo could never write anything like that!!!...' my spanish language skills were quite good at the time he was an a**hole and then I had enough and became baaaaad...I believe that my 21 y.o. girlfriend had been a pupil of his when she was in secondary and as he was besotted with her was enraged when he became aware that I captured her affections... life is complicated when yer just trine to mind yer own business... Tippaporn
Perhaps Tai Orathai is one of my favourite Isaan artists because my Isaan girlfriend at the time would play this CD again and again (well, Tai Orathai is a very hot little Issan gal but that in no way influenced my fondness for her music). We had just purchased a new CD player. It had the usual play functions found on most CD players, e.g. single play, shuffle, repeat, etc. Except this unit had a special play function . . . eternal repeat. You know which function she choose. I used to sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and find myself singing the songs from that CD. โทรหาแหน่เด๊อ (Toh Hah Nae Der) is off of her '02 debut, ดอกหญ้าในป่าปูน (Duak Yah Nai Pah Poon). Tippaporn
ดาวเต้นม.ต้น (Dow Ten Mor.Ton) is more upbeat, and found on Tai Orathai's 2nd disc, ขอใจกันหนาว (Kho Jai Gun Now). Great to listen to while getting tanked on Lao Khow. My girlfriend's older sister at the time was hooked up with a Belgian. They had built and opened up an open-air bar with pool table on their property serving local moonshine (pink in color ). My gf and I were tasked once with picking up another batch of this hootch from an undisclosed location (somewhere south of Loei). So, we're driving down the rural road to her sister's veeeery slowly as the jug in the back of the pick up is not sealed. At a certain point I'm getting ready to pass a couple of under-10 kids riding double on a bicycle. Just as the front end of the truck nears them the kid with control of the handlebars looks over his shoulder at us and as he does turns the frickin' front wheel almost 90 and cuts right in front of the truck. Thankfully I was doing no more than 10 km but still had to slam on the brakes. Well, that was enough to turn the jug of hootch on it's side. The bed of the pickup started filling up like a pink swimming pool. I saved what I could, which wasn't much. My gf's sister was absolutely livid when we arrived. She had paid 1,000 baht for the moonshine and business was not good. Just to keep peace in the family and my pecker safe I thought it best to reimburse her the full amount. This song brings back many precious memories. What a wonderful life we have over here!! Edited December 3, 2018 by Tippaporn
talahtnut
I must say, I envy you lot, I was an only child, sent to a boys only school, can you imagine. All I knew about females was from exciting biology textbooks, to me they were a fascinating, alluring enigmas. and have remained so to this day. The height of my academic achievement occurred when the geography teacher left the classroom, I felt the desire to swing on the world globe thing hanging from the ceiling. Amid the cheers of delight, the bloody thing busted in two at the equator and sent me sprawling on the floor in front of teach as he entered the room, an awkward moment followed abruptly by the cane. So, I learn from that, that stupidity is good fun. You're turn bannork. Bunter was a favourite in the 50s.

Tippaporn
Bannork is missing in action, lost somewhere in the TV maze of sub forums. I suspect this song might apply to him. Here's a pic of me before my Desecration. Pure as light, I was. I, too, went to an all boys school run by Franciscan priests in Germany. We had a small chapel and I had to read scripture in front of the congregation every Sunday . . . in Latin, no less. Didn't understand Latin then (nor now) but I'm sure what I was reading were some passages of fire and brimstone, raging against the likes of tutsi and bannork. Ah well, in the end the Church wasn't able to save me.

bannork
55555 I've just had time to catch up with my fellow posters' misspent youths. I was the same, a victim of three all male schools, 2 boarding. I wasn't bad, just rebellious which meant I was asked to leave from two of them, Better for the record than being expelled, I just 'left'. The suffocating atmosphere of boarding schools got to me and my friends and trouble followed. I though I had left it all behind until a few years ago my mother phoned from England and just said: ' So was it you?' 'Was I what mother?' ' That Stephen Fry you went to school with has written his autobiography, he mentioned you and two of your friends by surname and said one of you introduced him to marijuana, so was it you?' Thanks Stephen for dropping me in it all these years later. I've probably been written out of the will now to be replaced by the cats' home. My mother had always suspected I was prone to experimentation in my youth and now Fry was adding fuel to the fire. The cad, the rotter! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW3hcqlqTkk
