bannork Posted February 15, 2016 Share Posted February 15, 2016 I've always loved the romance of France, long straight roads of tall trees, the lovely old towns with inns and hotels steeped in history,the restaurants open to late at night serving delicious food and wine to whole families, whilst in the village square the older folks play bowls. The smell of baguettes in the morning. The beautiful language- middle class English sounds so clinical in comparison, and i'm not sure the dulcet tones of a local Hull lass add anything either - 'shurrup! can't yer see am watchin telly?'
