Ok after a few hurdles i'm now finally able to FTP from my Feral seedbox @ full 4meg! i must say i'm as happy as a pig in shit with the seedbox, my ratios's have gone through the roof. This was very important for me as i download High Def files that are in the 10gb - 25gb region constantly on private trackers and the upload bandwidth in thailand just isn't enough to get these files seeded well. All i need now is a bigger connection within Thailand but alas im on an island and 4mb is more than adequate.

By the way if your into your High Def content check out hd-space.org (registrations still open) - im consistently hitting 70 - 100MB/s speeds

Did anybody buy into Thai based seedbox resellers?? Which company? I have a friend who would like a seedbox but it must be a Thai based seller/operator due to his payment limitations.

Would be interested to know what speeds people are getting for FTP? I've recently got a seedbox with feral and I'm very impressed with the speeds I'm getting with my torrents, however I'm getting very slow FTP speeds 10-20kbs when I run uTorrent I'm getting ~250kbs. Obviously all of my films etc are bugger all use to me sat on a server 6000 miles away!! =]. I've opened up a support ticket with feral and going by my experience so far customer care is not their strongest point!!!

Would also be interested to know if there's another way to download the data.

A seedbox is basically a bittorrent client (running on a 24/7 available host) that seeds locally stored torrents regardless of ratios. It just keeps seeding and thus keeps torrents alive.

I may have been too quick to judge and I take back what I said about Ferals customer service now that I'm in contact with right person it's vastly improved. I am now using cute FTP pro and am averaging 500kbs and getting longs bursts of ~750kbs - those speeds I can live with :]
