Microsoft Outlook

Featured Replies

I have a problem with Microsoft Outlook this week. for no reason, my Outlook refuses to open and has a dialog box explainin that the PST files need repair and then import to Outlook. I cannot find the scanpst.exe to repair the files, and my regular IT boffin has just left for Japan for two weeks.

can anyone recommend a reliable software repair service who can correct this , as I need the details of my emails for business and cannot afford to lose them,

many thanks,

There's your problem..... You use Outlook.

real people use M$ Outlook as their email client lol

On my PC (XP SP3, Outlook 2003) I found it here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033

you have to enable 'show hidden files'

I had the same problem with my outlook. You will find scanpst.exe at following location C:\program files\Microsoft office\ office 12 or 14 (depending if you are using W Vista or W7.) you will find the file nearly at the bottom. Double clik on it and follow the instructions. It might take some time, in my case over one hour as my PST file is over 10GB.

Hope that this will help.

Regards J.
