I have a car in the US that I want to sell, does anyone have experience with the California DMV know if this is possible without having to fly back?

Sorry if in the wrong the section, if it is please move.

Just need to sign seller section of Vehicle Certificate of Title including odometer section and its done. No need to be present.

Make sure you send in notification to DMV that you have sold car in case buyer does not register in his name. This will relieve you of any future liability and I think can be done online now.

Google California DMV and check site because they will have all the details.

One more thing you as seller must provide smog inspection before can be registered.

Actually, I did check the site before hand and saw this information. Probably should've mentioned that I don't have the Vehicle Title with me here in Thailand.

Thanks for reply though!

Get the Title shipped out, sign it, send it back and voila, one week later it's done, if you can trust the buyer.
