Coldplay Album

I have just got my hands on the new Coldplay Album X & Y. I think its probably the best thing they have done so far.

Does anyone know if it got (or is at No 1 in the UK album charts), anyone have an opinion of it.

They are my favourite group

Best band in years imho TP but altho I love the new cd, I'm a bit worried they're loosing just a bit of passion (or edge) overall, when compared to say, the feel of "clocks" for one example? Still, an absolute gem of an album

Out of their last three albums, I like X&Y the least. It's just missing that great Coldplay emotion and vibe IMO.

X&Y is ok last one was far superior and parachutes was best by far.

I'm quite a big fan of theirs and at the moment i personally think it's at least on a par with the previous one, and maybe the best album they've done, not that there is a lot between the three albums as they are all excellent. Like the other two, X&Y is a real grower so i'll probably be able to more accurately judge in six months as to it's merits.

X&Y is one of my fav CDs at this moment.

Coldplay is a great band. Haven't gotten the new album yet, but I still listen to Radiohead more than Coldplay.

I can't get into X&Y - I love the other 2 albums - even have a copy for the car & another for the house. Went to see them live in Bangkok too.

Seems like a touch of 3rd album syndrome to me. Lyrics aren't a touch on the first or second albums.

These artistes just can't stick with what made them a success in the first place can they - I want the old Coldplay back...

I loved the last Coldplay album a lot and will always love it...... but the new album is a very very big disappointment...... no COLDPLAY spirit left.... just nothing :-(

Not the same soul as previous offerings. Not a poor effort, but more like Coldplay Lite than the real deal.
