Smartphone And Internet Solution In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi, i bought HTC desire and i want to connect everytimes and everywhere in Thailand, i know there isn’t 3G, what is the best solution for me, the fastest, the cheapest, can i buy 5h of communication or unlimited in 7 eleven ? Which one ? Thanks a lot !

Depends on what company your SIM is - DTAC, AIS, True. All offer EDGE/GPRS packages. I have a HTC Desire also and use DTAC EDGE - costs 999++ Baht for one month unlimited. Believe AIS has one month unlimited around 650+ Baht.

Next time you top up, tell them you have a "blackberry" and try and get their blackberry internet package.

Only 600 I think for one month unlimited.

You need to register for an unlimited EDGE package for your prepaid account. If you don't need unlimited there are also some favorable cheaper plans for blocks of 20 hours etc that would be cheaper than pay as you go by the minute. Check out what best fits your needs. E.g I just pay 99THB for Happy 20 hour plan that rolls over if I don't use it. I could never use EDGE continuous as it is so slow compared to what else is available (or not in case of 3G!)
