No, I wouldn't wait.....and if I managed to beat them, I wouldn't feel that I have the right to evict them from their homes and set my family up in them.

It's common to set up a buffer zone in situations like what happened down there. It's the smart thing to do.

btw - In 2005 the Israeli army evicted Israelis from their nice homes in Gaza when they left, allowing the Palestinians to set their familes up in there instead. The Palestinians were so happy, they started launching rockets at Israel. Israel is showing such amazing restraint that in a saner world, they would be a contender for the Nobel Peace Prize.
