Fire Partially Destroys ‘Top Bakery’ Shop-house in Jomtien

PATTAYA: -- A fire ignited in the top floor of a local bakery & mini-mart in Soi Chaiyapruk, Jomtien on Friday afternoon. Fire crews and emergency services worked for over 30-minutes to extinguish the blaze preventing its spread to adjacent buildings.

Pattaya, the 1st of October 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 12:30pm on Friday, local authorities and the Pattaya City Fire Department were notified of a raging fire on the top floor of the ‘Top Bakery’ and ‘108 Shop’ (mini-mart) in Soi Chaiyapruk, Jomtien.

Two fires cause over ½ Million Baht’s worth of damage in Pattaya

PATTAYA : -- The Pattaya Fire Rescue Service was kept busy over the weekend as they attended two fires in the Naklua and Jomtien areas.

The first call-out was to a German Bakery located in Soi Chayapreuk in Jomtien on Friday Afternoon. Reports came in of a raging fire on the fourth floor of the shophouse which was occupied by a 24 hour convenience store on the ground floor and “The Top Bakery” above it. The fire completed destroyed the fourth floor of the building but luckily no one was reported trapped or injured. Fire Investigators spoke with Khun Siriporn aged 49, the bakery owner, who confessed to leaving burning incense sticks and lit candles on the 4th floor, before going out for the day. The estimated cost of the damage is around 500,000 Baht.
