Pattaya residents mark the 40th Anniversary of the death of famous Thai Actor

PATTAYA: -- Thailand’s equivalent of James Dean, Mit Chaibuncha died exactly 40 years ago on 8th October 1970. He died on the set of a movie called “Red Eagle” that was being filmed on Jomtien Beach. The very last shot was supposed to show the hero grasping the tip of a long ladder attached to a helicopter and flying away over the sunset. Mit, exhausted by a long shooting day, was supposed to play the first part of the scene before a stuntman replaces him.
