PATTAYA: -- Plans have been resurrected to place overhead power lines underground. Khun Ronagit, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, was joined by Khun Wachara from the Provincial Electric Authority at a meeting, who announced the work will begin in 2012 and will start on the Central Pattaya Road towards Pattaya Beach Road.

oh no digging up the roads/sidewalks - prob finish the project in the next 50yrs.

^ 50 years? I think you're being a tad optimistic there.

By the time they get around to starting the project electricity will have been replaces by alpha-omega waves generated by the beating wings of Peruvian butterflies feeding on sunbeams.

I wounder which will happen first, underground power lines and cables OR street walkers from beach road disappear?:whistling:

In Chiang Mai the city and EGAT have just finished the removal of overhead lines on Chang Khlan Road and Tha Phae Road. This took 4 years to complete. I can guess what it would take for Pattaya.
