I have just booked through Air Travel Consultants of Maidstone 22 January @ 21.20 LHR-BKK arriving @ 15.45 Return 18 February @ 13.10 arriving LHR @ 19.10 direct flight for £499, I thought that was a good deal.

Return, paid for and confirmed. I spoke to a guy named James, Indian I think but very helpful, he also offered me Kingfisher via India for £419 and Etihad via Abu Dhabi for £440

Yes, I think that's a good price for BKK-LHR return, direct flight, EVA GBP 499.00. I wish I could get the same out of Milan, but Thai Airways has the only direct flight out of here to Bangkok and it is much more expensive. I would have to fly another airline to Vienna to connect to Eva. I guess it's the price one has to pay for living in the boondocks. Aside from that, any direct flight, with any airline, seems to be cheaper out of LHR than any Continental airport. C'est la bloody vie :)
