Just uploaded a pic (18 kb, 200x186 pixels) using control panel. It shows on the control panel area but not in my posts.

Use the boxes underneath where you upload to size it to 90 x 90

The reason uploaded avatars don't show up right away is that the old avatar (or a "blank" if you didn't have one) is cached, either in your browser's cache or in the caching proxy used by your ISP. Depending on the browser you're using you can force either or both of these cache's to reload. Otherwise, you have to wait a bit until the cached image expires.

Our dog -- we found out when we were on holiday that he sneaked away to Phuket. We found this picture in his things from the Irish Pub there. He had a sunburn over his entire body. Don't know what he got up to.
