Mount Everest Gets 3G Service

Featured Replies

ToT & Cat are still experimenting with two tin cans and string.

Mt. Everest is outside the jurisdiction of Thai Govt. That' why they get it.

Poor people living there have no advantage of being looked after.

That's why they are 4th World country, while we are 3rd !

Learn and feel the difference....:D

I thought the idea was to climb the mountain,

not to surf the web up there.................... :bah:

Ouch huge loss of face - everest has 3g and thailand doesnt?

Actually, the west side of Phuket from Nai Harn to Surin (not sure) and east to Central Festival has it on the 850 MHz band, but not on the 2.1 GHz band. I think it's True and/or Dtac that is/are doing it.
