Visa Run To Penang : Need Outbound Plane Ticket ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have been reading these forums for long time now (a few years ! :o ), and I'm planning my 1st visa run to Penang (it'll be for October), but so far, I never saw this question here :

I don't have plane ticket to exit Thailand: the back trip ticket to my country expired a few weeks ago.

Do I need such kind of ticket to get the visa in Penang ?

Or to take the flight back to Bkk ?

Or to enter the Thailand again at Don Muang ?

I'll ask for a triple-entry tourist visa.

Thanks for your help!

No. But you will have to have a ticket to board aircraft from Penang to Bangkok if that is how you want to travel - but it can be one way or return of a two way.

You would only require an onward ticket at Don Muang if you did not have a visa and were checked. What you should have is 20,000 baht that you can show if requested (or funds of that amount in other currency). But that is not likely to be asked for either.

ok, thank u LopBuri3..!

It should be ok.

In France, when I did my triple-entry tourist visa in last January, I had to show my plane ticket, but I don't know if it was important to have round trip or if an one-way ticket would have done the trick...
