Electronic Reader

Featured Replies

Hello I was wondering if I can buy an e-reader at the Intl. Airport in Bangkok as I'm leaving next Friday back to Europe. I've tried to find it on the internet but couldn't find any info about this.

I would prefer a Sony e reader but perhaps another brand is even better. I've been using the e reader from the first day it was for sale in Holland, but I sold it a week ago over here in Hua Hin as a friend of ours wanted to have it badly as a gift for his wife. Okay I can buy one in Holland but I was just thinking perhaps it could be cheaper getting one over here but to be honest I haven't seen any e reader over here.

Also not in the MBK in Bangkok so I'm a little bit afraid that there will not be an e reader for sale at the airport.

But perhaps some one out there can help me out with some more information.

Thanks in advance.

Petra

If you check out websites in Holland and elsewhere in Europe you'll probably find they're a lot cheaper there than in Thailand, if you can find one here. I believe Kindle have a distributor in Thailand, although I can't remember where I saw the webpage, but the last time I searched Sony's Thailand website, I couldn't see any reference to the e-reader.

When I was in the UK in June I bought a BeBook (which comes from Holland) which I like because it's independent of any of the e-book suppliers but will accept any format. It cost about £200, which turns out to be expensive, because in the meantime Sony and Kindle seem to have got into a price war and are offering models down below £150 in the UK.

I bet you won't find anything as cheap as that in Thailand.

thanks for answering, I was already thinking about that, but I just had the impression maybe at the airport they would be cheaper in compare to Holland. But I will look but most likely I will order one in Holland.
