Mayor of Nong Pla Lai injured during funeral at Pattaya Temple

PATTAYA: -- We received some amateur footage of a funeral which took place at a Temple in Nong Pla Lai, on the outskirts of Pattaya where a freak explosion left the Mayor of Nong Pla Lai with facial injuries. The incident occurred on Thursday at the Nong Get Noi Temple at the culmination of the funeral of Khun Wichien, a local Village Chief. The Mayor was placing some burning leaves on the top of the coffin which was already inside the furnace when a small explosion occurred.
