I mean this might have been already covered in another topic but I haven't found it. I'm working in Thailand since december 2003. My first visa was an non immigrant B multiple entry issued at the Embassy of Brusseles - Belgium. I had asked for a multiple re entry permit at the immigration office of the district where I'm living. At the end of the first year, I went at the immigration to have a renewal of my visa. Instead of a multiple entry, I choose a single entry (advised by the staff of my employer) I wasn't aware I had to ask for a re entry before leaving the country, so my visa has been cancelled after my first journey out of Thailand. I went then to Vientiane and got a non B single entry. I had to leaveThailand again and at the airport I got a single re entry permit. At the end of the validity I went at the immigration where they say they cannot extend my visa. So back to Vientiane...

I have a work contract here and would like to know what to do in order to get a multiple re entry as the first time in order to avoid any future problems.

I hope you get the point as English isn't my mother tongue.

Many thanks to the one who can help me to understand this regulation

regards

I am also confused by what you say you had. You had a multi entry B visa issued in Belgium which should have covered you from about Dec 2003 until after Dec 2004 with no reason for an re-entry permit (the multi entry visa takes care of that and you receive a new 90 day stay for each entry). So: did you perhaps receive a one year extension of stay on that original visa and that was the reason for the re-entry permit being required?

Phase two. At the end of this first extension of stay with a multi re-entry permit you received another extension of stay for one year but did not obtain a re-entry permit? You then proceeded to exit the country without a re-entry permit and lost the remainder of your one year stay?

Phase three. You proceed to Vientiane and obtain a single entry B and enter Thailand again. You travel again but this time remember the re-entry permit so you did not lose your 90 day stay. At the end of this 90 day stay you went to immigration to extend your stay and they said no. Any reason given, like salary not enough or some such thing? It seems you did not meet the requirements for extension of stay for some reason.

Phase four. You want to know what you have to do to get what? A multi entry B like you got from Belgium? If you have the work permit and paperwork you may be able to receive from a Consulate such a Penang. But you say re-entry permit so are you talking of an extension of stay from immigration? If that you have to meet the requirements of immigration and they should be able to tell you exactly what you need to do.

Sorry that can not be more clear but re-entry permit and multi entry visa are not the same thing so am not really sure of your question.
