Help: Buying New Honda Accord - Can I Negotiate Price And Extras?

Hello all,

I'm currently looking to buy at new Honda Accord - 2.0 Navi and am wondering if anyone can advise me on how to negotiate with the Dealer. From what I understand, the price for the car is pretty much set, but we can negotiate "extras" ... is this the case?

Can some people share the type of "extras" they have gotten free with their new car purchase? I'd like to get an idea of what is the standard in this type of situation. I'd also like to get as much as I can - especially if there is no cash discount. Also, is any one dealer in Bangkok better than the others?

Thanks.

I bought a 2.4 EL from Honda Rama 4 a couple of years ago. At that time all we were able to negotiate was floor mats, window film and 1 yr comprehensive insurance.

Thanks Mark - sounds like what the dealer offered me thus far - except they only offered 10k discount on the first year insurance. good to know.

I got window film, floor mats, and insurance for first year at Honda Ekamai two years ago on my Accord. They don't go more then that really. This was the third car I brought from them in 3 years and still no better discounts.

Bad time to buy a car, right after the Motor Expo when BKK Honda sales reps have just received almost 4,000 orders..

At the expo, Honda were giving away free insurance, free tabien rot, a standard set of free accessories (film, floor mats etc), plus 2.05% interest if financing.

Ok - thanks guys. It looks like what they offer is pretty standard across the board then - I was hoping it wasn't so! (: Appreciate the input.
