Air Conditioner High Power what does it do?

I suspect that the high power button simply makes the fan run faster - but maybe it does something else?

I am using new Carrier inverter type ACs

Max out compressor speed and fan speed to cool the space faster. Will reset to normal when room temp reaches set temp. Same function found in Daikin inverter units.

So as I thought the fan will go faster, but the compressor also.

So in terms of energy use for a short period of time there will be a higher cost but then all will be normal.

By the way I love inverter airconditioners quiet and very energy effecient.

Now i want to buy inverter type refrigerators in the future.
