Last yr my wife was quoted 5000THB to ferry a car from Bangkok to Nakhon Sithammarat (800km) on the back of a flat bed. She ended up driving herself in the end.

Was that including insurance? I've heard quotes of around 10K including insurance on a flatbed. I'd like to find a 5K or less flatbed incuding insurance.

In the UK and US car rental companies move cars around and they may have a spare leg of a journey that one of their drivers can fill, particularly on such a popular route. Long shot but worth calling Budget.

No ins included for that price.

What's stopping you driving it or hiring some one to drive it?

800 kms, early start and done in a day.

You can ask me nicely ..............................

Phuket BKK is 900 km, then ad distance to Pattaya

As a followup,it appears that local dealerships can arrange transport. I am having some work done on a car and the guy told me that he regularly uses Toyota to move cars, while I contacted a transport company that advertised transport of cars in Thailand as well as overseas and she said to contact Honda which will ship for 3500 baht from Phuket to BKK. It seems strange to call up a dealership to arrange transport of a car that wasn't purchased from them, but apparently this is the way it's done.

Phuket to BKK they all go empty, except for occasional exclusive car needing service and repos.

BKK Phuket is hard to find at acceptable price
