Karon/Kata Vs. Jomtien For A Long Term Stay

Without doubt Jomtiem is better value for money than Kata / Karon and it has much better transport options with the baht bus system and metered taxis, but Kata / Karon, and Phuket generally is way more scenic and is just a much nicer place to be, and there is NO comparison if its beaches you want. I spent a month in Pattaya last christmas as I was thinking about moving there but even though I enjoyed the lower prices / good transport / abundance of Pu ying and IMO better clubs, It just never felt like a nice place to be and I barely went in the sea the whole month I was there!.

Phuket is not without Its problems but If you can get past them its a <deleted>***ng cool place to be! At the end of the day though, unless you change your plans and decide to drive and rent yourself a car or bike, you would do better to stay in Jomtiem.
