I Want To Rent/Borrow Car For 22 Days In April

Featured Replies

I'm coming to Thailand for a holiday in april from the 3rd to the 25th. I would like to rent or borrow a car which seats 5, Fortuna or Camry etc. I will be driving from BKK to Pattaya, and then down to Nakhon, and back again to BKK via Samui and Phuket, though I may add Tak to that later. I've driven extensively in Thailand and Malaysia over 20 years and had a thai license which has since expired due to no work permit or non imm visa. I am a Taxi driver by profession, and have a British issued International license linked to a Brit. license.

Any one interested in renting or lending to me must cover me on their insurance. I will pay up front when I pick the car up, plus any insurance costs for the 22 days I need it for.

Send me a PM if you're interested. If you're short of money this may be helpful to you.

Cheers, Steverino

Oh sure, I'll just give my keys to some guy from england who posted on thaivisa..and then I'm supposed to cover the "some guy borrowed my car" insurance.. me! me! me! .. I hope I didn't already miss out on this unique opportunity..

Have you ever heard of a car rental company? Hertz , budget, numerous other private companies that rent cars..

Your not really posting a question asking to borrow someones car? most people don't even let their friends borrow their cars..

sound more like your short of money :o

Indeed.

Furthermore, any privately owned / insured vehicle in Thailand is going to require that the driver has a Thai driving license for any insurance coverage to be valid.

So... I guess the OP is gonna have to spend a few more shifts in his taxi to come up with the money for Hertz or Avis who will have specific insurance that will be valid with a foreign license.
