Entering Thailand On Mutiple O Visa

Featured Replies

I will be satying in the country using a multiple O visa, intending to leave when visa expires, is there any issue with bringing my Dell Laptop into the country as hand luggage, it will not be used for work or stuff like that, it's my travel companion, just like my mobile phone mp3 player etc.

I know many people who have brought in Laptops - Never heard of a problem.

I'm pretty sure that I have read in the Thai customs blurb that you are allowed one laptop.

Just to second that absolutely no problem.

Should be no problem. Just be sure the batteries are charged because there is a good chance they will want you to turn it on (departure point).

I came here 2 months ago and had 3 overweight suitcases 1 Large back pack and my laptop. I was not looked at twice you will be fine.

Just as a tip, you can get a customs form when you leave a country, so you don't have the possible problem of having to pay duty on its return. Normally its near immigration in most countries and you write the model and serial number on the form and customs stamp it.
