Anybody had any experience with acupuncture for weight loss or allergy?

I am thinking about trying it to see whether it really works so I would like some flied reports??

Accupunture is a "quack" practice based on unproven, much hyped hocus pocus. It has a high success rate amongst people who are suseptable to the placebo effect ie 90% plus of the population, for pain relief Don't know about allergenics but the tried/tested method of weight loss is calories in via expendature out. In other words, eat less and burn more. Human beings are always looking for the easiest possible way to obtain anything, so popping pills getting poked with needles etc will almost certainly seem more attractive than effort and hard work. This is what the marketing hawkers love, and the whole industry has been built on this "QUICK FIX" mentality.

Forget the pins. Weight loss is achieved by eating small and often keeping in your calorie defecit, with moderate intensity aerobics, with minimal impact - don't want to trade a large waistline for knee problems, but most of all consistantcy and self - dicipline to keep all of the above in order over the log term - lecture over :o
