Gym In Phuket Anyone?

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know of a gym in the Phuket area for someone to train in while on holiday for a couple of weeks? Doesnt have to have top notch machines but a nice free weight section would be nice- a cross trainer would be fantastic but I dont hold out much hope for that!

There are several in Phuket. Rawai and Chalong have gyms. I have also heard that there is a gym in Kata and Patong. Then of course many of the decent hotels have them too.

Great gym in Kamala. It's called Kamala Gym, believe it or not. It was there on my last trip to Phuket 1 yr ago. Special memories there for me.......................knocked out my first 400 pound bench press. :o Great Scotsman called Bobby is the man in charge.

Check out Patong Gym, its great, sometimes crowded but its big and has a sauna, owned by a Thai guy named Sak. www.phuketgym-patong.com its by the school, near sainam yen road i think ( can never remember the roads..) but awesome gym.. watch out for the farang price though haha

I've tried Dong's Gym in Kata. Not much to play with...only one olimpic bar and an OK squat rack, but not many disks to load up with :o

A lat and a bad Smith's...some dumbells...Dong is very nice though...

I didn't make it to Phuket Gym in Patong but someone who did told me it was good...never heard of the one in Kamala but it sounds good simply from the fact that you can find 400 pds in the gym to load up your bars...

You must try the gym in Royal Phuket City Hotel, downtown Phuket. They have more equipment than the other gyms I've seen in Phuket, a swimming pool as well, and a lot of extras. I think it was called Asia Firness.

Probably he is home again, a 7 year holiday does not happen that often.

Are you planning to drive or walk to the gym and from where?
