Does anyone know of a shop that sells power supply units, the one for my Linksys router just died on me?

That would be the best bet. Take the power supply with you so they can match it up.

This is very good advice. The main things that can easily go wrong and by comparing you lessen the chances are, the connector plug polarity (+ and - are located the same), the connector dimensions match - inside opening and outside diameter, voltage and current ratings- voltage has to be the same but current (the mA number) has to be at least as much but can be higher with no problem.
