I have just received notice from AirAsia that my flight into Bkk has been "retimed" and thus i will arrive in BKK at approximately 11pm instead of 8pm. My next flight out is at 7am and i will have to check in by 5am.

My original plan was to go to the city and have a meal and some sleep before the morning flight,

Under the circumstances I think i will just stay at the airport if there is some place i can rest for those few hours rather than rush to the airport and back.

I saw something called the "transit lounge" on the airport's website - it doesnt state whether it's open to all transit passengers and it there's payment, and how much, involved.

Any information or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

I would def go for a few hours foot, leg, neck massage.

Think its on 1 level below departures, near the far right hand end.

Its one of the best foot massages I have had.

I am guessing this reply is late and probably wil not help you now, but may in the future. If I a not mistaken, you should be able to go to one of the VIP lounges and pay a fee about $30 or so. This gives you open access to the food Drink and if they have a sleeper lounge, you may use it as well. Some of them even have showers as well. I have only done it 1 time before, but that was in Taiwan. You willl need to ask staff at the airport which lounge provides this service?

Hope this helps you out or at least for future travels.

Cheers!

No time to rest, just join the immigration queue for your next departing flight. You only have eight hours between flights, you might just make it with the way things are going. lol :whistling:

yep, just need 1 more retime and i'll just have to get off one flight and immediately join the queue to get on the other!!

I nearly missed my flight the last time and it isn't a pleasant 400m run to the gate, that' why i daren't go out of the airport this time for the few hours.
