Netbook Needed

Featured Replies

I cannot buy a Netbook with an English keyboard here in France, so thought I could maybe pick one up with a QWERTY keyboard either in Bkk airport (transit) or in Chiang Rai.

Any ideas / suggestions where to go? I do not have enough time to get into central Bkk.

Are there any computer shops in Chiang Rai large enough to have these in stock?

Any idea how much (10" screen)?

Any advice gratefully received.

I bought a "qwerty" Macbook Air 11', in Paris, rue de Rivoli, just before Christmas.

Otherwise, here is a link with some netbooks available in Thailand.

Have no knowledge of airport shops but do know Bangkok has never been a place to buy anything price wise at airport. Not sure what is available in Chiang Rai but am sure something would be available (all will have English/Thai keyboards) or you could order from a Thai mail order house and get within several days.

The point about airport prices is valid.

I was asked to buy a small Sony camera in LOS.

When I checked the airport "duty free" price, it was higher than the street price. :bah:

When you say English keyboard, do you mean English only? Because you will not find any netbooks here without the Thai letters on the keys as well.

I just bought a 12 inch Asus netbook and asked if I could change the keyboard and was told no can do, but can buy abc keyboard stickers......but where?? and how long do they last??
