Probably a stupid question but Ive just used a Supercote interior white paint and when I went to get some more it had run out

They advised me to use another Supercote for interior but it is described as Base paint

It looks the same white but just wondered if anybody knows why it has a different descrption and if it is ok to use with the other paint

Cheers

Rob there is a chance the interior white is the same match as the Base. They usually mix color into the base to make the final color although one could use the base without color as well. There are many shades of white. If the base matches you would be safe to use it(if it matches color & texture) if they are both the same company there will not be any chemical reactions. I would bring in the old paint bucket & see if the color matches as well as the finish....IE: satin-semigloss etc.
