Melamine Faced Chipboard In Thailand?

Featured Replies

OK, where can I buy 8' x 4' (2.4m x 1.2m) white MFC (melamine faced chipboard or melamine faced MDF) in Thailand?

I want to make my own kitchen cabinets as I'm not impressed with the price of kitchens in this Land of the salesman's Smiles.

I'm in Hua Hin by the way.

Someone must have some idea? Or maybe not.

Where do kitchen makers get their material?

Those foil or melamine panel products don't fare so well here in the humidity (particularly chipboard) so that's why it's not so easy to find I think. I recently saw a system that SCG are promoting called Smart Kitchen which uses a modular metal frame system covered with their Smartboard product which looked very interesting.

Actually, what I saw was Cotto's Speed Kitchen system.

Reminds me of those chocolates that melt in your mouth and not in your hand. But they do melt in my hands if I bite them into halves...

So you want to pay for some expensive coated boards in 4' x 8' and then cut them into pieces?

Makers of system kitchen cut those boards into size and then coat them.
