On Wednesday at Pattaya City Hall, Khun Ronagit, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, chaired a meeting attended by officials from the CAT Communications Company who are rolling out a 600 Million Baht “fiber to the home” program which is expected to come on-line from November this year. Phil Conners Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Hum. Unless the international gateway is improved, changing local cabling won't change a thing about "how we communicate with the rest of the world".
smedly Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 it will allow them to connect 500 users to one switch instead of 150, I suspect they are running out of phone lines and infrastructure to support the demand, as you say the bottleneck is the international pipe so no speed increases if anything I would see this as something else for them to missmanage, I'd expect quality of service to drop even further.
